Owls bring in Everton prospect
10:19am Friday 14th September 2012 in Albion By Brian Owen
Sheffield Wednesday have signed Everton midfielder Ross Barkley on loan in time for tonight's game at The Amex.
The 18-year-old is expected to be among the subs as the Owls take on Albion.
Wednesday boss Dave Jones said: "We have been chasing Ross for some time and I'm really pleased to have him on board.
"He's energetic, good in the air and a box to box player who can score a goal."
Wednesday are expected to give starts to recent signings Jay Bothroyd in attack and Martin Taylor in central defence.

Can't see Dave Jones putting this lad on for more than 15 minutes at the end if he is chasing a result. He only arrived yesterday.

Bothroyd is a serious challenge tonight it will be very interesting to see how we deal with him. It was reported that we were after him during the transfer window, I guess he will find out tonight whether or not he made the right decision not to come.
I would guess that most neutral people looking at the two squads would expect this game to be won or lost by the odd goal as there is quality in both sides. .
