Bruno in contention for Championship prize
10:41am Thursday 11th October 2012 in Albion By Brian Owen
Bruno impressed in September
Albion right-back Bruno has been shortlisted for the Championship player of the month award for September.
The Spanish star is up against former Seagulls striker Glenn Murray and Leicester defender Wes Morgan for the prize.
Bruno played in four wins last month and made a massive contribution to the eye-catching 3-0 home success over Sheffield Wednesday.
Murray was the division's joint top scorer in September with six goals for Crystal Palace, four of them from the penalty spot.
Albion won four games in September before losing at home to Birmingham.
That record is not enough for Gus Poyet to make the short-list for manager of the month.
Palace boss Dougie Freedman, whose side took 13 points from 15, has been nominated along with Cardiff's Malky Mackay and Nigel Pearson of Leicester.
Former Albion boss Micky Adams, now at Port Vale, is a contender for the manager of the month prize in League Two

Hopefully the international break will allow to him to get back to full fitness. With Bruno and CMS we looked unbeatable. Without them, we didn't.

I agree he is great and brings a totally different dimension to the game for us when he is playing, but we have other players playing for us now who are or were as good as Bruno surely.
The guy Bruno show far this country is behind Spain in quality footballers , I reckon he should be playing in the premiership, completely different class to anyone we have ever had at this club.. Good news is Vicente is looking sharp in training...

Small things can make a big difference. Yes the ground is great and poyet and his team are great but there are other clubs with big grounds and great managers. Finding these players first or being first to know there available can be the difference between spending millions and getting a gem like bruno, david lopez and vicente perfect examples!
