Albion are seeking their first win over Middlesbrough since February 1990.

Mark Barham was on target as the Seagulls won 1-0 in front of just 5,504 at the Goldstone in the old second division.

Boro are unbeaten in their last nine league and cup games against the Seagulls.

The Teessiders had the better of it last term with a 1-1 draw at The Amex to follow up their 1-0 win at the Riverside.

Bernie Slaven and Brian Clough have both hit hat-tricks for Middlesbrough on the Sussex coast.

Boro lead the overall series with 20 wins to seven – or 16-7 in league games only.

Albion can level matters in home games with a win today.

Boro have won seven and lost six of their 18 games away to Albion.

Millwall beat Boro 3-1 at the start of September,so hopefully we can do at least as well.Personally i think we will win by a couple.UTA

Fast start, early goal, then dominate possession, we have the talent to do that. 2.0.

I remember that game. It was the day Gary Lineker opened Broadwater Sports' new store in Worthing! I got to meet Gary along with David Rocastle and Gary Stevens. What a great day. Another win today please Brighton.
