Albion complete loan signing of French midfielder

Albion have completed the loan signing of Therry Racon from Charlton for the rest of the season, including the play-offs if required.

The French central midfielder is expected to play his first match of 2008 in Saturday's home game against Swindon following injury problems. Racon made the last of his six Championship and Carling Cup appearances for Charlton this season at Norwich in December.

What do you think?

'Rac-on-Therry' - as Bobby Ball would say

well according to Charlton fans that I know he is a decent player. Perhaps Paul Reid or Gary Hart will be filling the full back slot

Given that Paul Reid has ligament damage I somehow doubt he will be at right back. It'll be Tommy Fraser I suspect.

I hope Racon is better than Martot - who is also rumoured to be a centre mid (despite us playing him wide)

my my mr mcfaul, and tommy fraser must be looking over there shoulders, we have two there that can play in centre, looks like they will join the others on the dole this summer, clearly dean has lost faith in youth system. as for dixon, why has he not figured ahead of gatting, what happens if thompson or one of the strikers gets injured? we have 30 odd players here!!! time for clear out asap. starting with hinsh and reid. this club waste money ON PLAYERS WHO WONT COME BACK STRONG OR WONT COME BACK AT ALL.100K WASTED ON THOSE TWO THIS SEASON,

As an Addicks supporter I can say I think Racon will only be good for your push. He is an excellent and skilful player who has just been a bit off the pace for the Championship but he has real class and that bit of french flair. I hope he does your cause some good.

Is that you Mr Curtis?

Yep maybe a clear out is whats required at the end of the season!!

Would guess Gatting Hart Mayo Dixon would all go!

With Hinsh and Reidy see what there like Pre Season if not suspect they will go !!

Fraser should be kept bit of versatility, then likes of El Abd Elphick Lynch Cix Robinson should all be kept as the foundtation to build of for the future!!

Butters would be handy on the Coaching Front.

The Richards and Whing should be made permanent

And then the Summer Window should be used to get another striker!! (No non league rif raf) a Winger CB FB and Utility Player

This signing should result in our strikers getting some decent balls which should give us more points,at least at home.

The only players worth keeping next season are:

Kuipers
Whing
El-Abd
Elphick
Lynch
Robinson
Fraser
Thomson
Cox
Forster
Murray

The rest can go!

I agree Butters would be a useful addition to the coaching staff.

I agree the signing of Richards should be made permanent.

We need to strengthen in every department this summer if we are to have a realistic shot at getting promotion next season.
