Brighton and Hove Albion vs Southampton
Albion got the Gus Poyet era off to a perfect start with a superb 3-1 win at Southampton on Saturday. Glenn Murray struck twice in the first quarter and new skipper Andrew Crofts drove a terrific clincher late on. It was a thoroughly deserved win for a Seagulls side given raucous backing by 2,709 proud away fans in a crowd of 21,923 at St Mary's Stadium.
