Surrey have re-signed Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq on a two-year contract.
Saqlain helped Sussex defend their County Championship title during the summer -taking 18 wickets at an average of 17.55 - but declined the opportunity to extend his stay at Hove.
The 30-year-old, who has a British passport, previously spent eight years at Surrey between 1997 and 2005 - taking 384 first-class wickets - before serious knee problems forced him to take a break from cricket.
He had a brief spell with Ireland before Sussex gave him an opportunity to rebuild his career.
Surrey's cricket manager Alan Butcher said: "It is with great pleasure that we welcome back a Surrey legend."
