Favourites Broadwater were convincing 59 run winners at home to Southwick after posting 213-4 declared.
Openers Bob Reynolds (75) and Mark Sinsbury (47) put on 105 for the first wicket and the declaration came after Richard Luker had reached an unbeaten half-century.

Southwick were then dismissed for 54 despite 49 from Chris Summers.

Southwater's Nick Baker made a great start to the season with 6-16 as his side routed Aldwick for just 43 in division two.
Earlier, Johann Brouwer had made 77 in Southwater's 183-8 declared.
West Chiltington & Thakeham bowled out Rustington for just 79 on the way to a six-wicket win while the other completed match finished in a high-scoring draw.
St Andrews rattled up 220-5 at Felbridge & Sunnyside with Ian Murray (85) and Ben Carruthers (64) laying the foundations with a second-wicket stand of 111. For Felbridge, Chris Richens took 4-15.
The home side clung on for a draw, finishing on 123-7 with Dan Strange taking 5-18.
The games between Broadbridge Heath and Storrington and Scaynes Hill versus Eastergate were both abandoned without a ball being bowled.
