Crawley face a Tuesday night replay at Dartford after they came from 2-0 and 3-1 behind to draw 3-3 in today's FA Trophy replay at the Broadfield Stadium.

Boss Steve Evans made eight changes to the team which knocked Swindon out of the FA Cup on Tuesday but Reds were two down after nine minutes.

Charlie Sheringham gave them a third-minute lead when he volleyed past Nick Jordan on the turn and Ryan Hayes made it 2-0 when his inswinging corner from the right floated Jordan and in off the far post.

Chris Flood struck the post and Darts' keeper Andrew Young made good saves to deny Richard Brodie and Jamie Cook in the first half.

Reds pulled one back after 56 minutes when Brodie side-footed home from close range after Young could only parry Flood's left-wing cross.

Brodie then struck the post but Dartford appeared to be heading into the second round when Sheringham beat Jordan with a 25-yard drive after some lax defending by the hosts.

Michael Shinn nearly got a fourth for the visitors when his header from a corner hit the post but Crawley rallied late on. Substitute Craig McAllister scored from an 81st-minute penalty after Brodie had been pushed off the ball and in the 90th minute Young was beaten by Dean Howell's free kick from the edge of the box.

Brodie thought he had completed a memorable comeback when he tapped home Steve Masterton's cross in injury time only to be denied by the offside flag.

Assistant manager Paul Raynor said: "We're still in the Trophy and that's the main thing. We threw the kitchen sink at them when we were 3-1 down so to end up with a 3-3 draw is not too disappointing.

"We made a lot of changes and it was pretty much a reserve side. We had some tired bodies after the FA Cup replay and there was always going to be a reaction but we showed great spirit and we look forward to going again."
