Crawley have signed highly highly-rated Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford on loan.
The 21-year-old, who has been in the full Republic of Ireland squad this season, is with the Reds until January 5 and is eligible to play in the FA Cup.
Clifford has yet to play for Chelsea's first team but has featured in loan spells at Plymouth, Notts County, Yeovil and Portsmouth, where he has made two league appearances this season.
He has appeared for the Republic of Ireland's under-17, under-19 and under-21 squads.
Crawley boss Richie Barker said: "Conor is a player our management team including (director of football) Steve Coppell and (chief scout) Martin Hinshelwood have identified for some time.
"Chelsea rate him highly. He is a very good midfield player and will add significantly to our options as we approach the busiest time of the season.
"A lot of clubs were keen to sign him on loan before the loan deadline and we are delighted to have him with us."
