Crawley boss Richie Barker accused referee Gavin Ward of costing his side a point against Sheffield United today.

Tony McMahon curled home two free kicks to seal a 2-0 victory at Broadfield Stadium in a game of few chances.

Barker felt both free kicks were harshly awarded against Joe Walsh and

 

Barker said: "I didn't think they were fouls. I have to be careful what I say as it is Christmas coming up and my kids want some presents.

"The first one changed the course of the game because it gave them something to hold on to.

"Apart from two great strikes there was not a lot in the match and I definitely felt we deserved a point.

"They didn't create a great deal in open play and although we didn't work their goalkeeper enough I can't fault the players at all for effort as I thought they were excellent.

"We probably played better than we did last weekend at Stevenage when we won so it is hard to take."
