Barker hails "fantastic" Reds
5:50pm Wednesday 26th December 2012 in Crawley Town By Steve Hollis
Boss Richie Barker hailed his players after Crawley came from behind to win 2-1 at Portsmouth.
Reds trailed to a tenth-minute own goal from Claude Davis but sealed back-to-back away wins thanks to efforts from Mat Sadler and Billy Clarke.
The result lifted Crawley to eighth in League One - a point outside the play-offs - and left Pompey rooted in the relegation zone.
Barker said: "For Crawley to go away from hom and beat Portsmouth in a league match shows how far we have come.
"It was thoroughly deserved as well as it was a fantastic effort from the players from start to finish. We played some excellent football in very difficult conditions.
"Their goal came against the run of play and we had to ride a storm for a bit but after that I thought it was all us for the rest of the first half.
"We stayed positive in the second half and got the goal we deserved and although they put us under pressure at the end we defended well and had players putting their heads in the way."

Thats 6 this term already !
This lastest success was built on team work and hard graft in horrible conditions and the away pen loved it.
Billy Clarke lit up christmas when stabbing home the winner.
Not for the first time Paul J made a last ditch match winning save in injury time.
To anyone with in the club who is reading this.
Thanks from the fans for a fantastic Boxing day treat.
Roll on Bournemouth !
