BLACKROD’S Rick Godding will take on former Commonwealth light-middleweight champion Bradley Pryce on the undercard of Amir Khan’s clash with Julio Diaz in Sheffield on April 27.

As reported in The Bolton News, the undefeated welterweight boxer makes it a Bolton trio on the bill at the Motorpoint Arena along with Khan and his younger brother, Haroon, who will make his professional debut.

It will be Godding’s first fight since his draw against Rafal Jackiewicz in Hamburg in November.

And he is relishing the ring return against the 32-year-old Welshman at light-middleweight level.

Godding said: “I want to keep progressing as a fighter and for each fight to be tougher than the last.

“Pryce is a well-rounded fighter who has fought for British and Commonwealth titles.

“It’s a good next step for me and one I am ready for.

“I have big ambitions in the sport and Pryce is a fighter I will need to get through if I want to realise those dreams.”

l Tickets priced at £300, £200, £125, £75 and £50 are on sale at the Motorpoint Arena box office by calling 0114 256 5656.
