Crawley Town have snapped up the brother of Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

Midfielder Mitch Rose, 20, has joined the Reds on a three-month loan deal and will make his bow in tomorrow’s friendly at home to a Chelsea XI.

Reds manager John Gregory has persuaded his Rotherham counterpart, former Crawley boss Steve Evans, to allow the youngster to continue his development at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.

Rose made six first team appearances for the Millers last season and spent a period on loan at Northern Premier League club Stamford before signing a new deal with Rotherham in the summer.

Gregory said: “We felt we needed a bit more cover in midfield and Mitch is a player who has been on our radar for a while now.

“Steve has agreed to let him come down to us and I think he can play a part for us in League One during the next three months.”
