Crawley boss John Gregory has made wholesale changes for tonight’s JP Trophy clash at Luton Town.

Gregory had said he would give “one or two” fringe players a run out in the second round tie at Kenilworth Road but has in fact made five changes to the team which drew at Coventry on Saturday.

Matt Harrold and Gavin Tomlin start up front together for the first time as Gregory switches to a 4-4-2 formation with top scorer Izale McLeod on the bench.

Lewis Young gets another chance to impress on the right wing with Jimmy Smith dropping to the bench after suffering a broken nose at the Ricoh Arena.

Sonny Bradley comes in at centre-back to replace Joe Walsh who was called up by Wales yesterday.

The other change sees Brian Jensen take over from Jamie Ashdown in goal while Bobson Bawling switches to right-back in place of Lanre Oyebanjo.

Skipper Josh Simpson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury while Conor Henderson and Josh Wright have to be content with places on the bench.

Luton make four changes to the team which beat Stevenage 2-1 at the weekend with Luke Guttridge, Alex Wall, Jake Howells and Elliot Justham all starting.

Former Reds midfielder Andy Drury is not included in the squad but ex-Peacehaven striker Charlie Walker is on the bench.

Luton (4-4-2): Justham; Lacey, McNulty, Wilkinson, Griffiths; Guttridge, Smith, Doyle, Howells; Benson, Wall. Subs: Tyler, Lawless, Robinson, Stevenson, Walker.

Crawley (4-4-2): Jensen; Bawling, Leacock, Bradley, Sadler; Young, Elliott, Keane, Edwards; Tomlin, Harrold. Subs: Ashdown, Henderson, Smith, Wright, McLeod.
