Ryan Dickson has called on Crawley to rediscover their Musketeer spirit as they bid to take a step closer to a Wembley final tonight.

Dickson believes Reds have lost the all-for-one attitude which epitomised their performances in the opening weeks of the season.

The left-back was highly critical of Crawley’s “lacklustre” display at Yeovil on Saturday as they bowed out of the FA Cup in tame fashion.

And he has urged his team-mates to “put things right” at home to Gillingham tonight in the area quarter-final of the JP Trophy.

Dickson said: “At the start of the season we were workhorses. We worked hard and ground out results.

“That is something we need to look at as we seem to have gone away from that. It is a given in any football team that you need to work hard but on Saturday we were outworked which was not acceptable.

“It is going to be a tough season so we need to stick together as a football club and as a team.

“It was a very disheartening performance at Yeovil but we have a chance to put it right against Gillingham tonight.

“The club needs a lift and although the JP Trophy is not the most glamorous of competitions it is one that realistically you can go far in.”
