Sergio Torres has been cleared to play for Whitehawk against former club Crawley Town in next week’s Sussex Senior Cup quarter-final.
The ex-Reds midfielder was sent off while helping Hawks to a 1-0 win over Bishop’s Stortford in Vanarama Conference south on Sunday.
It was feared the straight red he received for a high boot deep into stoppage time may mean he would miss the Senior Cup visit of Crawley next Tuesday (January 13).
However, Torres’ three-match ban will not start until January 18.
Team-mate John-Paul Kissock has been handed a four-match suspension after receiving a straight red in the same game, which was his second dismissal of the season. Kissock’s ban will start on the same date as Torres.
