Lewis Price has warned Crawley they cannot afford to get cut adrift at the foot of League One.

The Crystal Palace goalkeeper conceded four times at Spotland on Saturday at the start of his second loan spell at Crawley.

The result left Reds just a point off the bottom of the table and two points behind Leyton Orient in 20th spot.

Crawley have now gone 13 games without a win in all competitions and Price admits that run must be brought to an end soon if they are to have a chance of staying up.

Price said: “If we can stay in contact with the teams above us we should be fine. I think that is the main thing.

“We all know the situation we are in and we have basically got to roll up our sleeves and start picking up some points.

“It is not over though because there are a lot of games left. The squad here is more than good enough but we need to start winning games.”

Price is one of three senior players brought in by interim boss Dean Saunders during the transfer window along with Darren Ward and Anthony Wordsworth.

And Saunders has targeted signing another “two or three” before the end of the month with a striker still his top priority.

Saunders said: “Got bit of room to bring in couple more because the squad so thin. I’ve brought three in and we probably need two or three more.

“I’m looking at what we need as I go along but we definitely need to sort the striking options out because we don’t score enough goals.”
