Crawley are set to sign much-travelled striker Dean Morgan on loan for the rest of the season.

Boss Dean Saunders has swooped to bring in the 31-year-old from Woking with youngster Charles Banya going in the opposite direction.

Morgan has scored nine goals in 25 games for Woking in Conference premier this season and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game at Fleetwood if the paperwork is completed in time.

The Montserrat international dropped into non-league after being released by Wycombe Wanderers at the end of last season.

In total he has played 369 games in the Football League for Colchester, Reading, Luton, Southend, Crewe, Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Aldershot, Chesterfield, Oxford and Wycombe.

Saunders said: "Dean is an experienced player which is what we need in the situation we're in.

"He is technically good and can score goals which is something which has been a problem for us."

Banya has made 12 appearances for Crawley - all as substitute - since joining from Fulham in the summer with his only goal coming in the JP Trophy against Cambridge.

The 21-year-old had a spell on loan at Woking last season.

Saunders is also hopeful of signing a back-up goalkeeper before Saturday's trip to Fleetwood with Brian Jensen expected to be sidelined for another ten weeks with a thumb injury.
