Crawley boss Dean Saunders has cranked up the pressure on Leyton Orient ahead of their crucial relegation battle today.

Saunders has expressed his surprise the O’s are in danger of dropping out of League One having reached the play-off final last season.

And the Reds manager insists Fabio Liverani’s men should be fighting it out at the other end of the table again considering their budget rather languishing a point below Crawley.

Saunders said: “They shouldn’t be where they are with the players they have got and the money they have paid out. Their two strikers probably earn more than our whole team.

“(Chris) Dagnall and (Darius) Henderson would get in any League One team so I’m surprised they are down there but I think it’s only a matter of time before they put it together.

“They’ve been on a decent run recently but if we beat them today then we’ll be four points above them. It is a big game because if we win it will also cause Orient big damage.”
