Midfielder Conor Henderson has committed his short-term future to Crawley Town.

Henderson is set to sign a six-month contract today after weighing up offers from other clubs.

The former Arsenal trainee initially joined Reds from Hull City on a one-year deal last summer and went on to make 19 appearances, scoring two goals.

The 23-year-old’s season came to a premature end when he suffered an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw with MK Dons in January.

Henderson follows Bobson Bawling – who signed a one-year contract last week - in agreeing a new deal to stay at Crawley.

Josh Simpson rejected the chance to the stay at the club while Marvin Elliott and Dean Morgan had their contract offers withdrawn by boss Mark Yates.

Henderson’s decision to stay means Yates now has a squad of 11 and he is expected to complete the signing of a centre back and central midfielder by the end of the week.
