Crawley midfielder Jimmy Smith is gunning for another FA Cup adventure.

Smith was part of the Leyton Orient side which famously took Arsenal to a replay in the fifth round in 2012 and would love to be involved in another fairytale run –starting at home to Luton today.

He said: “I remember we beat Norwich and Swansea away to set up the tie against Arsenal and I scored in both games. The game against Norwich was on my birthday which made it extra special.

“That was definitely the best time in my career. It’s what FA Cup is all about and I know everyone at Crawley is thinking about getting through and hopefully playing one of the bigger teams.

“We’ve been doing well recently but it is the Cup so it’s a little bit different. We beat them in the league but I’m sure Luton will want to get one over us so we’ll need to be at our best.”
