Crawley Town have extended the loan of Birmingham City left-back Mitch Hancox.

Hancox has impressed since joining on an initial month's loan at the early of October.

He will now be with the Reds after after the Portsmouth game on January 2.

Hancox has made 11 appearances for Crawley, scoring once in a 3-2 win at home to Leyton Orient.

The 22-year-old said: "I have really enjoyed my two months so far and I was more than happy to sign for another month.

"I have really benefitted from playing regularly and hopefully I can help us push on in the busy Christmas period and get us in a position where we can challenge for the play-offs."

Manager Mark Yates said: "Mitch is a great pro and a popular lad in the dressing room. I'm delighted he's here until after the Portsmouth game on January 2 and I'd like to thank (Birmingham manager) Gary Rowett for allowing Mitch to stay with us."
