George Smith comes straight in for his Crawley Town debut after signing on loan from Barnsley.
The defender joined for a month this morning and replaces Mitch Hancox at left-back against Cambridge United.
Smith’s inclusion is one of five changes to the team which lost 3-0 against Portsmouth on January 2.
Gavin Tomlin makes his first appearance of an injury-blighted season on the right wing while Ross Jenkins starts since October 3 in place of the injured Jimmy Smith.
The other changes see Jon Ashton come into the centre of defence for Josh Yorwerth, who failed to recover from a hamstring injury sustained at Fratton Park, while Lee Barnard partners Matt Harrold up front.
Boss Mark Yates is only able to name five substitutes following the departures of Hancox, Christian Scales and Josh Emmanuel following the end of their loan spells.
Crawley (4-4-2): Flahavan; Young, Bradley, Ashton, G Smith; Tomlin, Walton, Jenkins, Edwards; Barnard, Harrold. Subs: Preston, Deacon, Bawling, Fenelon, Rooney.
Cambridge Utd (4-4-2): Norris; Furlong, Roberts, Legge, Page; Berry, Ledson, Newton, Dunk; Gaffney, Corr. Subs: Omuzusi, Slew, Beasant, Coulson, Simpson, Horne, Williams.
