Boss Mark Yates admitted Crawley Town were missing a spark as they went down 1-0 at home to Notts County.

Reds dominated possession but were denied an eighth win in their last nine home games by a sensational strike from Filip Valencic in the second half.

Yates said: “We haven’t disappointed too many times at home recently so I can’t berate the players too much.

“They came and did a job on us so you have got to give them credit but we didn’t give ourselves a chance with the way we played.

“We didn’t do what we have been doing well recently. There were some bright moments but not nearly enough.”
