Crawley Town have solved their left-back problems by taking Blackpool's Charles Dunne on a one-month loan.

Dunne, 23, is poised to go straight into the squad for tonight's game against Newport County.

The full-back started his career with Wycombe Wanderers, making 49 appearances, before joining the Tangerines in August 2013 on a three-year deal.

He made his Blackpool debut in a 2-0 defeat to Ipswich in the Championship in November 2014. Last season he made 23 appearances for the Tangerines and has played in seven games this term in League One.

Crawley boss Mark Yates said: “Left-back has been a bit of a problem for us since Mitch Hancox and George Smith went back to their parent clubs so we’re delighted to get Charles in.

“He played a lot of Championship games for Blackpool last season and he’s a very solid and competitive player who we’ve been looking at for a while now.”
