Mark Yates admitted Crawley Town did not do enough to take all three points in a low-quality clash with Morecambe at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.
Matt Harrold had given Reds the lead eight minutes after half-time but former Crawley loan striker Shaun Miller equalised seven minutes from time.
Yates said: "It wasn't a great game. It was pretty even first half but I thought we had the better of the second half.
"We got our noses ahead and looked comfortable so to get done by a set piece was disappointing but a draw was probably a fair result.
"It wasn't the most entertaining of games but I have to be pleased with the lads efforts and to take four points from two games after a really bad performance last weekend is a good response."
