Crawley Town striker Matt Harrold has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
Harrold limped out of Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Oxford United and is set to have surgery later this week. It means the former Bristol Rovers frontman - who is top scorer for Reds with nine goals - could have played his last game for Crawley as he is out of contract in the summer.
He said: "It’s a wear and tear injury. I’ve been struggling with it for a while to be honest but it’s a fairly straightforward procedure. I’m gutted to miss the last few games of the season because we’ve got some good games coming up but by having the operation now I will be fit and ready to start pre-season training."
