Harry Kewell is “happy” to have his first win with Crawley at home as Red Devils beat Yeovil 2-0 today.

Jordan Roberts scored in either half as Reds took the points.

Boss Kewell said: “I am happy with the performance, we had a plan I feel that we executed it properly. It was tough as it always is against Yeovil.

“They are a very physical team and they know how they want to play and we had to adjust to that.”

Yeovil could have taken an early lead as they were the more physical team dominating the opening minutes.

They also created chances as Francois Zoko played that one pass too much when he was free in front of Glenn Morris just seven minutes into the game.

But Reds took control in the 12th minute when Roberts got the ball from an intercepted pass and eventually pulled the trigger at the edge of the box to give his side the lead.

Kewell told The Argus: “They did have a great chance in the opening minutes and they missed the target – unfortunate for them but great for us!

“I thought we’d come out early, we played the first 25 minutes and we got the goal, we got our reward and then I felt comfortable.”

Reds got their second after the break when, as the Yeovil defence hoped for offside, Crawley created a two-on-one situation with Enzio Boldewijn serving Roberts to slot home for his double.
