Sussex are hoping Chris Jordan can join up with them after he was left out of the first Test of the English summer.
The all-rounder is not part of the XI to take on New Zealand at Lord’s, starting today.
County coach Mark Robinson has admitted that, if Jordan were omitted by his country, he would love to see him travel to Taunton in time for T20 action tomorrow.
Sussex take on Warwickshire in a Championship match starting on Sunday.
Engand have given Test debuts to Adam Lyth and Mark Wood today.
