Mike Yardy completed an emotional century as Sussex continued to build a big first innings lead in the crucial Championship clash with Somerset at Hove.
Yardy – who was on 60 overnight – brought up his 23rd first class hundred just before lunch in what is his final game at Hove before retirement.
The milestone was warmly greeted by Sussex supporters and Yardy was applauded off when he fell shortly afterwards for 104 after he pulled Tim Groenewald to backward square leg.
There was no century for Ashar Zaidi however as he added just one to his overnight 90 before being trapped lbw by Jamie Overton in the second over once play had got underway at 12pm.
Sussex went on to reach lunch on 365-8 – collecting a fourth batting point on the way – with Chris Jordan 13 not out and Steve Magoffin unbeaten on four.
