Chris Jordan celebrated his international recall by helping Sussex claim maximum batting points in their crucial Championship clash against Somerset at Hove.
Jordan brought up the 400 by hitting Tim Groenewald for six before he was dismissed for 42 as Sussex were bowled out for 409.
It completed a superb recovery by Sussex who had been 171-6 at one stage yesterday before Mike Yardy (104) and Ashar Zaidi (91) led the fightback.
Jordan – who was named in the England T20 squad for the three-match series against Pakistan in the UAE this morning – then struck with the ball as Somerset began their reply.
Tom Abell played on for 13 attempting to drive Jordan off the back foot but Marcus Trescothick (35no) and Tom Cooper (18) steered Somerset to 67-1 at tea.
