Will Beer has signed a new two-year contract with Sussex.
The leg-spinner’s deal will run until the end of the 2017 campaign.
Crawley-born Beer will spend time with England Lions in Dubai as a net bowler this winter, then return hoping to be part of a bright new era at Hove along with new spinner Danny Briggs.
Beer, 27, said: “I’m really pleased. To be given another two-year contract by the club I’ve grown up playing for is fantastic for me.
“With new signings and a new captain I think the club is moving forwards and it is a really exciting time to be involved in Sussex cricket.”
Sussex manager Mark Robinson said: “Will has become an integral member of our one-day team, and should prove to be one half of an exciting partnership with Danny Briggs.
“He is one of our best fielders and scores valuable runs and we are delighted that he has committed himself for the next two seasons.”
