Chris Nash led Sussex’s battle to rescue a draw in their County Championship clash with Leicestershire at Hove.
Nash is unbeaten on 82 to guide Sussex to 190-2 at lunch but Leicestershire will still believe they can win the game having picked up the wickets of Ed Joyce and Matt Machan.
Joyce failed to build on his third half century in four innings this season when he chased a wide ball from Wayne White and was caught behind for 69 having put on 136 for the first wicket with Nash.
Machan made just 13 when he was caught behind hooking a short ball from Charlie Shrek but Ross Taylor stood firm to be 13 not out at lunch.
