SUSSEX have brought back all-rounder David Wiese for their Championship run-in.

The experienced South African goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's Specsavers County Championship match against Essex at Castle Park, Colchester.

Wiese, 31, rejoins the county after returning from CPL action with Barbados Tridents.

The all-rounder played four games in the NatWest T20 Blast and one in the Royal London One-Day Cup for Sussex earlier this season in a short stint as overseas player.

He is now available for the remaining seven County Championship matches, replacing Ross Taylor, who played his final Sussex game of the season in the draw against Kent before heading to Zimbabwe to play in New Zealand’s latest Test Series.
