Sussex coach Jason Gillespie has offered a glowing report on the exciting prospect he will have under his command at Hove next season.
Gillespie was given a dazzling illustration of Jofra Archer’s white-ball talents when they went head-to-head Down Under in the Big Bash.
Archer took 3-15 for Hobart and bowled a final over which went for just five as his side edged out Adelaide Strikers, coached by Gillespie, by seven runs.
Gillespie was highly impressed by what he saw.
He told The Argus: “I was obviously disappointed to lose the game.
“I thought Jofra deserved the man-of-the-match award for his 3-15 off four overs in a high scoring game.
“He hit the track hard early in innings at good pace.
“I thought his death bowling was excellent. He kept it simple by bowling fast, full and straight.”
