Luke Wright reckons Sussex have come a long way already this season.

And an outstanding win over Somerset proved it.

Wright scored 105 from 87 balls as Sharks won by 75 runs at Taunton.

The result put their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign right back on course after the last-over defeat by Hampshire on Saturday.

Wright said: “I don’t think many teams will come here and win. We are absolutely delighted.

“It’s a nice position to be in when we start to get upset about not beating teams like Hampshire.

“I think that shows where we are coming to in a short space of time.

“We spoke a lot about how we had got to throw the first punch here.

“We showed what we are really about character-wise.

“We are a really tight bunch of lads, we get on really well and we are enjoying ourselves.”
