Sussex have been told there could be more tickets for the Lord’s final if their initial allocation sells out.
The county’s 4,000 tickets go on sale today for the showdown against Hampshire in the Friends Provident Trophy on July 25.
Members will be allowed two each and ticket holders from Sunday’s semi-final win over Gloucestershire one apiece. They are priced £45, £32 and £28 with a £2.50 booking fee.
They will be sold at the County Ground on a first-come, first served basis at or by phone (0844 264 020) before going on general sale next Monday.
Brooks said: “When you take out tickets for staff and sponsors our allocation is just over 4,000.
“That was enough in 2006 when we only just sold out but there does appear to be a huge amount of interest this time.
“To only give 9,000 to the two finalists out of 30,000 does seem quite a small proportion but the MCC have said if we sell out they will do their best to accommodate us with more tickets.
“But our advice to non-members is to book them through the Lord’s website as soon as you can because we are expecting strong demand.”
Yesterday, the Lord’s website was advertising tickets in the Mound Stand for £52 and £45.
Brooks has defended the county’s decision to charge a booking fee for tickets.
He added: “It is the same as we charged in 2006. The clubs get nothing for ticket sales so we have to try to recover our costs for postage and credit card charges.
“I know you can order online from Lord’s for nothing but we cannot do internet sales because we have to provide a list of every ticket sold in case they are re-sold.”
