Sussex fast bowler James Kirtley is looking forward to his 16th season with the county after agreeing a new one-year contract.
Kirtley, who celebrates his 35th birthday on Sunday, is now the longest serving player on the staff following Jason Lewry's retirement.
He took more than 50 wickets last season, 47 of them in one-day cricket as he helped Sussex do the double in the Twenty20 Cup and Pro40 League.
The Twenty20 success means he has now completed a full set of domestic honours.
He said: “I’m looking forward to playing in my sixteenth season at the club. During my time with Sussex I’ve been lucky enough to have played in a hugely successful team and I’m looking forward to fighting hard to bring more silverware to Hove.”
Kirtley flies to South Africa on Sunday for a pre-season training camp where he will continue his rehabilitation following shoulder surgery in November.
