Sussex have signed Ireland under-19 World Cup bowler Craig Young on a one-year deal.
Young, 19, is a right-arm seamer, who caught the county's attention during last summer’s European Under-19 Championships in Jersey, where he took 5-22 against Guernsey.
Sussex invited Young to their training camp in Dubai last month after the Under-19 World Cup, where he took nine wickets at an average of 18.44.
He was asked back to train on the Academy Plus scheme.
Young will divide his time with Ireland Cricket and train at Hove in six blocks throughout the summer.
