Sussex crashed out of the Caribbean T20 last night after a third defeat in four matches, losing by eight wickets to Barbados in Bridgetown.
The county side began the competition with a 34-run win over the Netherlands but have now lost their last three games in Group B.
After being bowled out for just 89 runs, Sussex never looked like being able to deny Barbados a victory which was achieved with 32 balls to spare.
Only three Sussex batsman made it into double figures, with opener Chris Nash making 18, Ben Brown 13 and captain Michael Yardy top scoring with 33 from 34 balls.
Fidel Edwards and Tino Best took three wickets each for Barbados, who then lost just two wickets in reaching their victory target of 90.
Dwayne Smith was run out for eight and Jonathan Carter made just seven but Kevin Stoute (37 not out) and Shane Dowrich (23no) secured a comfortable win.
