Holders Whitehawk eased into the last eight of the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup with a 4-0 win at home to in-form Horsham.

Sam Deering broke the deadlock on 13 minutes with a lovely strike from 25 yards which Hornets keeper Gareth Williams could only get a hand to and Arnaud Mendy made it 2-0 on 24 minutes after Deering backheeled into his path.

Horsham watched a Charlie Farmer headed cleared off the line early in the second half and later Joe Shelley struck the crossbar but by then they were 3-0 down, Ash Jones slicing a Dave Martin cross into his own goal.

Jordan Rose added a fourth goal on 71 minutes, tapping home after Scott Neilson flicked on a Martin corner.

Whitehawk will meet Steyning Town in the quarter-finals while Bognor will host either Burgess Hill or Broadbridge Heath after they beat Eastbourne Town 6-1 at Nyewood Lane.

Alfie Rutherford scored his first senior hat-trick, completing his treble with a penalty.

Doug Tuck, Jason Prior and Sami El-Abd got the others with Brett Patton grabbing a consolation for Town.

Nat Pinney grabbed a brace as Eastbourne Borough beat Three Bridges 5-1 to reach the last eight.

Bridges played the entire game with midfielder John Lansdale in goal and kept it to 1-1 until the 70th minute.

Hakeem Adelakun had put Bridges ahead with a penalty on 10 minutes but Ryan Worrall levelled with a spot-kick for Borough on 23.

The referee awarded a third first-half penalty, to the hosts, only to change his mind.

However, Borough scored four goals in the final 20 minutes – including another penalty which Pinney converted for his second of the game, having put the hosts 2-1 ahead.

Kane Haysman and Gavin McCallum got the others. Borough will now be away to Littlehampton.

Sam Cruttwell scored twice as Hastings United won 5-2 at home to East Grinstead Town.

Sam Cole, Billy Medlock and Sam Adams got the other goals with Jack Mahoney and Greg Cundle netting for the Wasps who had Leo Mazzone sent off.
