LEWES boss Darren Freeman knows the secret to getting out of trouble could be a settled side.

Freeman named an unchanged line-up for the midweek defeat at home to Enfield Town.

It was not the result he hoped for but the Rooks chief wants more consistency in his selection.

Lewes have already used 47 different players this season in just 32 games.

That tally will increase further once recent signing Josh Jones makes his debut.

They have named the same team on just three occasions – once under Steve Brown and now twice in the 16 games Freeman has been at the helm.

With his side eight points adrift at the bottom and 16 behind the first team outside of the relegation places, Freeman knows he needs to start getting wins on the board – and a regular team will help that.

Another recent signing, George Landais, is a doubt for the Boxing Day clash at Bognor after limping off in the first half of both his appearances for the club to date – against Enfield and the 1-0 defeat of Farnborough last Saturday.

Yassin Ben El-Mhanni is also a likely absentee with a groin problem but midfielder Lee Carey hopes to be fit to return after missing the last two matches.

After the trip to Bognor, Lewes will be at home to Merstham on Saturday January 2.

Burgess Hill are in action on Boxing Day when they travel to Farnborough.

The Hillians will be looking to build on a terrific 5-1 win at home to Merstham last Saturday when striker Sam Gargan, who is dual-signed from Whitehawk, scored four.
