90:00: Hope you've enjoyed the updates and the result. As Albion take the applause from their fans, it's good evening from Ice Station Zebra!

90:00: Final whistle We had three added minutes and Albion held on for a decent 1-1 draw. There was just one scare right at the death when Oldham won a corner down their left, right where Albion won that flag kick from which Nathan Elder levelled last season. But Oldham could not take revenge and, for the third successive year, the Seagulls some to Boundary Park in deep midwinter and claim a come-from-behind 1-1 draw.
88:00: ...and now I can hear the away fans in good voice as they prepare for the final stages. Just a very few home supporters are heading for the exits though there is not much movement as they hope their side can stage a very late onslaught.
86:00: Substitution Double switch for the hosts on 86. Stam replaces Gregan at the back and Alessandra is on for Allott.
81:00: Great chance goes begging for Albion on 81. Forster beats his man and gets to the byline down the right before looking up for Fleetwood. The sub had made a great run and Forster seemed to have slid the ball into his path to perfection - but it was just in front of him and somehow he failed to get a touch. It would have been a tap-in from a couple of yards and we still don't know how Fleetwood failed to make contact. He wasn't even having to slide in - he was on his feet.
80:00: There is a drummer in the home fans trying to get some singing going - but to little avail.
77:00: Pressure is now just starting to build. On 74, Taylor yet again cut inside and shot right footed and this was his best strike yet - but Kuipers pushed it wide. From the resulting corner Allott saw a well-struck 20-yarder deflect just past the post off El-Abd, who got out quickly to close him down. Looks like a tense finish in store.

66:00: Today's gate is 4,803 including 261 Albion fans tucked away in the corner to my right.
65:00: Substitution Maher now goes on for goalscorer Liddell for the hosts.
56:00: Far from being under the cosh, Albion could now be ahead. First Forster was guilty of a bad touch after seeming to be in on goal. Then after a good run by Fleetwood, they went even closer. The resulting corner, on 56, was met by a great header from Whing near the penalty spot but Whitaker, on the far post, booted it off the line.
51:00: The dismissal has encouraged the homne fans to start singing for the first time. It could be a long half for Albion though they have just survived a corner easily enough.
49:00: Red card It was a mishap just waiting to happen - and now Virgo is off after his second booking. It came out near the right touchline when he caught O'Grady late. Albion made a change at the break, Fleetwood on for Murray, who had been hobbling. We'll wait and see if they make more switches now though El-Abd has slotted into the back line.
45:00: So up to now it's an action replay here at Boundary Park. For the third successive season Albion have gone 1-0 down and fought back to be 1-1 - and that is how it finished on the last two visits thanks to those goals from Dean Hammond and (who could forget?) Nathan Elder. The Seagulls will be happy to go in at 1-1 given that awful start. It's a really even game and, if Albion can find a way to quieten Taylor or at least usher him wide on to his left foot, they could be in business. Oldham will be attacking down the slight slope and towards their home end in the second half.
45:00: Half time Still level at the break, thanks to two good saves in the 45th minute. First Crossley was out sharply to block a Forster drive after Thomson had slid the ball through, then from the resulting home attack Taylor again cut in from the left and this time saw his right-footed curler towards the far post pushed behind by the diving Kuipers.
42:00: As far as chances go, the last few minutes have been quiet other than a low Taylor drive which Kuipers saved comfortably diving to his left. Hughes' movement off the ball is impressive, especially at set pieces, though his team mates have not located him just yet. Albion looked a touch lucky just now to see him flagged offside after being played clean through.
37:00: The sun is now setting and no doubt the temperature will drop sharply - it will be interesting to see if that affects pitch conditions. It looks fine down there at the moment.
35:00: Yellow card Whing was a bit unlucky to go in the book after colliding with Hughes as they chased a loose ball though the home striker is causing problems. Having said that Oldham look a bit jittery at the back, making for an increasingly grumpy mood from the main stand fans just in front of us. Allott just cheered them up with a drive which Kuipers held after good hold-up play by Hughes.

27:00: Was it another pen? Hawkins seemed to bring down O'Grady after the striker got in behind him but this time ref Foster waved play on. It's a good open game.
23:00: Ed in Spain, looks the positive vibes in your message radiated all the way through here to Lancashire! Keep them coming!

20:00: Goal! Albion are level. Forster plays the ball through a pretty well advanced back line and MURRAY runs on to thrash a shot into the roof of the net.
19:00: Albion showing signs of settling after that torrid start, though Cox, Whing and Richards have all failed to make the most of good crossing opportunities. Having been booked, Virgo trod thin ice when he flattened Hughes with a late challenge after the ball had gone out of play. Albion are getting a reasonable amount of the ball but their build-up is a bit laboured so far and Hughes and Taylor look a threat for Oldham.
9:00: Goal! Penalty to Oldham and LIDDELL sends Kuipers the wrong way after a Leon Knight style stutter step. The spot kick came after Virgo felled Taylor, who had just gone past El-Abd. Virgo was booked for his part in remonstrations after the penalty award.
5:00: Pretty quiet so far but the Albion line-up is actually a traditional 4-4-2 with Cox on the right and Johnson the left.
0:00: One little change of which I should advise regular readers. I have tweaked things at this end so my most recent update will now appear at the top of the updates rather than right at the bottom. That should save a lot of tiresome scrolling down for you as the game wears on.
0:00: We are being advised the recalled Cox will operate just behind the front two for Albion, making it a 4-3-1-2. Virgo is at centre back with El-Abd in the midfield trio.
0:00: You may have seen on the main Albion section of the site that Oldham have lost striker Darren Byfield to a foot injury which, we understand from an excellent local source, was sustained playing at home with his daughter. Chris O'Grady plays up front alongside nine-goal Lee Hughes.
0:00: So this is Ice Station Zebra! Welcome to live coverage of Albion's latest League One clash, away to in-form Oldham Athletic coming to you direct from the somewhat infamous Boundary Park. You might have seen the picture on the back page of The Argus the other day of this ground covered in 2ft of snow. There are still some great shots on the club's own site at www.oldhamathletic.co.uk if you fancy a quick flick across there. The snow has now cleared, apart from on the overlooking hills, and it is a sunny and, thankfully, still day - though puddles in the car park were frozen over as we drove in and pavements are slippery with frost. You will see the list of the 11 confirmed starters and five subs for each side. More to follow on that, though it is educated guesswork for the time being as to how Albion will line up.
