Rikki Banks was the hero of the first half as Lewes struggled against an out-of-sorts Weymouth side.
The Rooks were looking for back-to-back wins but needed an 18th-minute penalty save from Banks to go in goalless at half-time.
Weymouth went into the game having not scored for 592 minutes but they created a number of chances in the opening 45 minutes.
On 12 minutes Ben Gill played the ball dangerously across goal but Cliff Akurang was unable to convert from six yards.
Three minutes later Akurang broke in the inside-left channel and his cross-shot was touched away for a corner by Rikki Banks.
The Terras were awarded a soft penalty on 18 minutes after Anthony Barness tangled with Akurang but Stephen Reed's spot-kick was saved by Banks.
Banks was inspired again two minutes later, touching over a 25-yard strike from Reed, who found more venom than he did with the penalty.
It took Lewes 35 minutes to create a chance of note, Michael Standing picking out Geoff Banks-Smith who ran on and fired just over the bar.
Weymouth had another great opportunity just before the break but James Coutts lifted his shot over the bar from eight yards with Banks scrambling.
