HALF-TIME: Eastbourne Borough 2, Cambridge United 1

Liam Enver-Marum has made one and scored one to give Eastbourne Borough the advantage at half-time.

The striker crossed for Paul Armstrong to head Borough into the lead after 15 minutes and then restored the advantage after Ben Austin's own goal had briefly cancelled out the lead.

Borough stuck with the 4-5-1 formation which had worked effectively at Hayes on Tuesday with Enver-Marum playing as the lone striker and Jamie Taylor and Joe Benjamin operating wide of Armstrong, Matt Crabb and Simon Johnson in the centre.

It was intended to stifle the opposition but Cambridge started confidently and Danny Knowles was called into action after five minutes to keep out a low shot from Robbie Willmott.

Borough slowly came into the game and Enver-Marum was looking lively when the ball reached him. He got away down the right in the 11th minute and found Joe Benjamin in the area but after engineering some room the on-loan Northampton striker was unable to get his shot away.

Enver-Marum's next contribution led to the opening goal. He picked up the ball wide on the left and curled in a perfect cross which Armstrong glanced over Danny Potter and in to the far corner.

Borough have been guilty of squandering leads on a number of occasions this season and it happened again six minutes later.

Jamie Taylor gave away a free kick in a dangerous position on the edge of the box and when Willmott whipped the ball it skimmed off Austin's head and past a helpless Knowles.

Borough hit back within four minutes with a goal of real quality. Enver-Marum did superbly to flick on a long clearance from Knowles and then burst in to the box to meet Taylor's cross at the near post and glance a header home.
