Lewis Killeen scored his second goal of the season to give Crawley a deserved half-time lead in today's Conference clash with Tamworth at The Lamb.
The midfielder struck from close range in the 14th minute after Charles Ademeno had seen two efforts blocked, the first by goalkeeper Danny Alcock and then by defender Richard Tait on the goal line.
Alcock saved at full stretch from Ademeno and Reds were always a threat on the counter attack while at the other end Simon Rayner made just one save when he flung himself to his left to keep out Neil McKenzie's free kick.
Ben Smith hit the side netting at the end of another Crawley counter attack but Reds suffered an injury blow five minutes before the break when Ademeno limped off with what appeared to be a recurrence of his knee injury.
