Whitehawk missed a great chance to move out of the Conference south drop zone tonight, despite going 2-0 up.
Hawks needed a stoppage time strike from Sam Gargan to rescue a 3-3 draw at home to Staines.
Victory would have taken Hawks out of the bottom three on goal difference and they took charge through Tommy Fraser and David Da Silva inside 16 minutes.
Big striker Louie Theophanous replied. Then Theophanous, on 79 minutes, and sub Bajram Pashaj, on 86, put Staines ahead after they had spent most of the second half on the back foot.
