Whitehawk boss Steven King is delighted with the latest additions to his squad.

Midfielder Kieron Forbes, who was the England C player of the year last season, has joined from Forest Green Rovers.

Meanwhile, left-sided former Darlington player Jason St Juste has arrived after a spell with Bradford Park Avenue.

Both will go straight into the squad for today’s Skrill Conference south game at home to Concord Rangers.

Forbes, 23, began his career with Watford and won four England C caps after making his debut against Italy in 2012.

He has made more than 100 appearances for Forest Green but has recently fallen out of favour following a change of manager St Juste, 28, can play anywhere down the left and had a spell at Southampton after leaving Darlington but did not make a first-team appearance.

King said: “Jason can play left-back or left-wing, which is important because I rate Lee Hills highly and he is very much of the squad I am building.

“Jason is quicker than Theo Walcott who he was at Southampton with. He is a player I have tried to sign before in the past.

“Kieron is a very good signing for what we are trying to do.

“He was non-league player of the year for England last year but a new manager came in at Forest Green and he found himself out of the side.

“I have been delighted with the response of the players already at the club but I needed to add to the group and I believe I have done that.”
