Lewes reckon they can still go through in the FA Trophy, despite being held 1-1 at home by Heybridge Swifts last night. The sides replay next Tuesday.

Lewes joint boss Danny Bloor admitted: “It was probably a fair result. We didn’t play well but we were missing players and this stretches our unbeaten run to five games.”

Ollie Rowe put Rooks ahead on half-time from the rebound after Tom Davis’s free-kick was saved but Neil Richmond levelled on 65 minutes.

High-flying County League side Littlehampton were thumped 5-1 at home by Chichester City in the Peter Bentley Challenge Cup.

Chi went ahead with an own goal, cancelled out by Josh Clack, before Lewis Edwards, Alex Ansa-MacIntyre and Graham Bush, with a late brace, ran riot.
