Danny Mills netted six minutes from time to earn Whitehawk a 2-2 draw at Eastbourne Borough.

An entertaining clash saw Hawks grab a point when Mills turned home a Nick Arnold cross.

Borough fought back from going a goal down to lead 2-1 but a point apiece was a fair outcome in front of a crowd of 703.

The visitors took the lead on 29 minutes when Jake Robinson was played in behind the home defence to rifle his tenth league goal of the season into the roof of the net.

Gavin McCallum squandered two great chances for Eastbourne and Kane Haysman lifted a shot on to the top of the bar before Dean Sinclair headed the home side level four minutes before the break from a Frankie Raymond corner.

Twelve minutes into the second half home defender Josh Hare collected a clearance and drove forward before unleashing a shot into the bottom corner from 30 yards.

Hawks drew level six minutes from time with a move of real quality as the moved was moved neatly from right to left and ended with Mills firing home Arnold’s inviting cross from close range.

In the closing stages Whitehawk had a strong penaty appeal turned down while Borough had a stoppage-time goal from substitute Richard Pacquette ruled out for a foul on Tom Cadmore.

In Ryman premier, Bognor came from behind to win 3-1 at home to ten-man Peacehaven.

Tom Burton gave the Magpies an early lead but Bognor levelled through Ollie Pearce before James Crane made it 2-1 in first-half stoppage time. Stuart Green hit a late third.

Lewes lost 3-0 away to table-toppers Margate.

In Ryman south, Burgess Hill maintained their unbeaten record with a 3-0 victory at home to Three Bridges thanks to goals from Pat Harding, Sam Fisk and Darren Budd.

Worthing were awarded three penalties as they won 5-0 at Horsham. Brannon O’Neill scored two penalties and Lloyd Dawes the other while Ben Pope and TJ Richards were also on target. Horsham had Ryan Woodford sent off.

Hastings United lost 2-0 at Margate.
